Great insight on the shifts happening in retail. I wonder how the mom and pop shops fit into this new retail landscape. I can easily see how the big players in online shopping like Amazon can create these faux storefronts where I can be transported to with VR, but it seems like independent retail gets left out in the cold. In the brick and mortar world, AR feels like the future. The phone doesn’t seem like right device. But glasses make those AR interactions feel more natural. Maybe retail can usher this evolution along by supplying the glasses when you walk into the store.
